Terra sigillata on events
and at museums` exhibitions |
| |
The gallery of photos brings closer the process of the Terra sigillata wares reconstructions achieving. Relief products need preparing stamps, and then moulds, inside which stamps are being impressed. After initial shaping a vessel on the wheel, it is put inside the mould to impress an ornament. Footrings are added after drawing the ware out from the mould. Process of the drying wares takes place twice - before and after dipping in slip. Only then one can get to fire wares, what was illustrated on photos of various klins fired with wood.
